Last updated: 12 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information easycapitalism.com (“the site”, “I”, “me”) collects when you visit, how it is used, and what choices you have. easycapitalism is an independent site run by one person. I keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site.
1. Information I collect
Information you give me. The site has no user accounts and does not ask you to register. If you email me, I receive your email address and whatever you write, and I use it only to reply to you. [EDIT: if you add a contact form, newsletter or comments, update this section.]
Information collected automatically. When you visit, some technical information is collected automatically, such as:
- your IP address, browser type and device type
- the pages you visit, the time you spend on them, and the page that referred you
- approximate location (country or city level) derived from your IP address
This helps me understand which content is useful and keeps the site secure and working. It is collected by the analytics tool and the hosting provider described below.
Calculators and tools. Numbers you enter into calculators and tools run in your browser. They are not sent to me or stored on any server.
Your preferences. The site may save your settings, such as light or dark theme, in your browser’s local storage. This stays on your device and is not sent to me.
2. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. This site and its partners use them to:
- remember your preferences
- measure traffic through analytics
- show and measure advertising, if ads are enabled
- track affiliate referrals (see section 5)
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.
3. Analytics
I use [EDIT: your analytics tool, e.g. Cloudflare Web Analytics / Plausible / Google Analytics] to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. [EDIT: if you use a privacy-friendly tool, add: “It does not use cookies for tracking and does not build profiles of individual visitors.” If you use Google Analytics, say so here and link to https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout for the opt-out add-on.]
